Art Rock Show – Above Cirrus (Week 23)

Bijna twee jaar later is Pure Reason Revolution terug met ‘Above Cirrus’ en deze keer heeft het kernduo van Jon Courtney (gitaar, zang, toetsen) en Chloe Alper (bas, zang, toetsen) een nieuw fulltime lid meegenomen om de band uit te breiden tot een trio. Nieuw is hij niet echt, gitarist/zanger Greg Jong werkte al in 2005 mee aan de EP ‘Cautionary Tales’…

Kasper Hermans van Nieuwe Plaat NL: “Bijna 46 minuten en toch slechts zeven tracks, het Britse drietal sleurt je graag mee in lang uitgesponnen songs. Toch zijn de korte tracks op zich al meeslepend genoeg. Zo opent Above Cirrus met Our Prism, dat met drieënhalve minuut zowaar een radiovriendelijke lengte heeft.
