Dichters in de Lucht: Peter Bormans * zondag 23 juli 08-12u, woensdag 26 juli 12-20u [2017-14]

PETER BORMANS leest voor uit eigen werk

Dr. Peter Bormans studeerde Germaanse Filologie aan de VUB (1967-1972), waar hij meewerkte aan het literaire studentenblad ‘Hand’. Hij ging daarna in de administratie werken, maar bleef een verwoed lezer, met name van poëzie. Bormans schreef enkele bundels die hij in eigen beheer uitgaf in een beperkte oplage. Hij mijdt daarenboven het podium en officiële publicaties, zodat zijn poëzie eigenlijk onbekend is gebleven. Zijn bundels zijn vaak thematisch opgevat, bijv. ‘Vrouwen’ (over revolutionaire vrouwen), ‘Katholieke Gedichten’ en ‘Duister Licht en andere gedichten’. Peter Bormans is een erudiet literatuurkenner, zoals blijkt uit zijn blog “inktspat.com” en zijn doctoraal proefschrift “Ik hoop dat ik stoor” over Jan G. Elburg (uitg. KANTL, Gent, 2004).
