3rd Art Rock Show: Sanctuary

Derde show van 2015! Third show of 2015! Rob Reed (Sanctuary), IQ (Frequency), Dream Theater (Awake), The Watch (Tracks From The Alps), Asia Minor (Between Flesh And Divine), NthAscension (Frequencies of Day and Night) and Porcupine Tree (Lightbulb Sun).

We pakken deze week uit met Sanctuary, het nieuwe album van Rob Reed. Rob Reed is een getalenteerd multi-instrumentalist die heerlijke prog muziek maakt (Cyan, Magenta, Kompendium…). Andy Sniper van Music-News.com: “Two things really took me aback here: one was that he was capable of learning all the instruments and playing them to a surprisingly good standard and the second was that this actually works – brilliantly. (…) The music is complex but it has an almost folky vibe to it. You find yourself dancing a jig more than once and there is a bounce and a jaunty swagger in parts but there is also a darker undertone to parts. The second track touches on Elizabethan forms and his guitar playing is strident and powerful but the melodies are beautiful and strong and the playing brings them alive.” Veel luistergenot.
