“Forget Jim McCarty-The Yardbirds-drummer and  switch to Jim McCarty the guitarist, composer and singer because this is the Jim McCarty who has just released his third solo album. He wrote all twelve melodic, quiet, almost fragile songs in which he contemplates about nature, Life and life, Time,  destiny and the questions that must remain unanswered forever. The philosophical mood of this album is further enhanced by instruments such as the flugelhorn and the violin. ELECTRIC MUDDY

“ (…)Marshall Chess, son of the president of the label who worked at the company had the idea to try something different by putting Muddy’s music into a psychedelic setting to appeal to a younger audience. After discussing the project with Muddy, he went for it. He wasn’t forced into it as some have been led to believe. Marshall Chess assembled in his words “the hottest, most avant garde rock guys in Chicago” for the album sessions consisting of Pete Cosey (lead guitar, later with Miles Davis) Phil Upchurch and Roland Faulkner (rhythm guitar), Louis Satterfield (bass) Gene Barge (tenor sax), Charles Stepney (organs) and Morris Jennings (drums). JUDY DYBLE

Jydy Dyble is a founding member of Fairport Convention who provided harpsichord and vocals on their first LP from 1968, her only one with that group, produced by Joe Boyd.  FAIRPORT CONVENTION was formed in 1967 by Richard Thompson (guitar & vocals), Simon Nicol (guitar & vocals, viola), Ashley Hutchings (bass), Judy Dyble (vocals) and Shaun Frater (drums). Shaun Frater was replaced by Martin Lamble and Ian (Matthews)  aka Mc Donald (vocals & guitar) joined the band. FAIRPORT CONVENTION was influenced by British-Folk, American-Folk-Rock, Blues, Country, Cajun and American songwriters like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tim Buckley and Joni Mitchell. After Fairport, DYBLE first continued in the folk format, but also collaborated with Robert Fripp of King Crimson. She  took a thirty (!) years’ leave from the music business only to continue her love for experimentation and eclecticism. Her latest album is SUMMER DANCING (2017), with Andy Lewis.

BERNIE MARSDEN

“Bernard John “Bernie” Marsden (born 7 May 1951) is an English rock and blues guitarist. He is primarily known for his work with Whitesnake having written or co-written with David Coverdale many of the group’s hit songs, such as “Here I Go Again”. Having played with Glenn Cornick’s Wild Turkey in 1974, he then played with Babe Ruth, from 1975–76, before becoming an original member of Paice Ashton Lord in 1977 and then joining the hard rock band, Whitesnake, after having the possibility of playing with his boy-time hero Paul McCartney and Wings because while waiting, David Coverdale asked him to form Whitesnake (other members were Jon Lord and Micky Moody).
In more recent years, Marsden has toured with his bands Company of Snakes, M3 (both formed with fellow former Whitesnake members Micky Moody and Neil Murray), and performed with Elkie Brooks. Over the years he has taken part in a number of sessions and has released a handful of solo albums (And About Time, Too!, Look at Me Now, Green & Blues, Stacks). He has also collaborated with Micky Moody on a number of Marsden-Moody live and studio projects”.
