ACHTERGRONDINFORMATIE ** BACKGROUND
THE ROLLING STONES: BLUE & LONESOME
With ‘Blue & Lonesome’, The Rolling Stones ‘have come full circle’. Really? I don’t think so and I’m speaking as a fan. The full circle theory is what the media want us to believe because it sounds so simpatico.

SHOCKING BLUE…and THE MOTIONS

SHOOT: ON THE FRONTIER
“SHOOT were formed by JIM McCARTY after he had left the original line-up of RENAISSANCE following on from the demise of The YARDBIRDS. The band’s one and only album was released in 1973 and featured ex members of RAW MATERIAL and MANFRED MANN CHAPTER THREE. Recorded at the world famous Abbey Road studios, London, the band was sadly relatively short-lived existing 1972 to 1973.
Now released for the first time ever on CD, Jim has added two previously unreleased radio session bonus tracks. Listen to a very unique album with wonderful harmonies that combines elements of country rock, psychedelia with prog and jazz rock.” (Source: www.angelair.co.uk.)
THE BLUES GIANTS
THE BLUES GIANTS were a n occasional band that did a short, nine-date tour of Europe (CH, DE, BE, NL) late January, early February (2017), ending at De Korenbloem in Zingem (BE) where Radio 68 attended the show and spoke to the band backstage before the concert. Giants they are, with Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia and Sugaray Rayford all having recorded their own albums and having led their own bands, plus William J. Campbell and Jimi Bott who paid their dues a s the rhythm section of The Fabulous Thunderbirds (among other things) . RADIO 68 PLAYS tracks from solo albums by Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia and Sugaray Rayford, plus related music and artists (see PLAYLIST)
