DOZY  Trevor “Dozy”  Ward Davies died at the age of 70 on 13 January 2015, after a short and sudden illness. Bass-player Ward-Davies was a  founder of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick ad Tich, who had a huge string of hits between 1966 and 1968, with simple pop tunes that you must sing or dance to. They were dressed like the very best in genuine Carnaby Street style. Though they dressed like Mods, they didn’t appeal to that group, nor did they do any real Mod music. Also, the band was always in for a good joke, in pure English cabaret tradition.

NOEL REDDING
This is a special taken from my show The Savage Tree, every Wednesday  evening on www.radiostuch.net .  My show traces the R&B roots and branches of Screaming Lord Sutch and his many Savages.  Noel Redding’s band The Loving Kind backed Lord Sutch for a short time. Redding played with JImi Hendrix and later formed his own bands, such as Fat Mattress and 3:05 A.M.
