Art Rock Show – Rise of Kassandra (Week 31)

Met ‘Rise Of Kassandra’ hebben we een prachtige debuutproductie in handen, zoveel is zeker. In de beste traditie van de progressieve rock uit de jaren zeventig is het album complex, muzikaal gevarieerd en bevat het niet één, maar zelfs twee epische stukken.

Hans Ravensbergen van Prog Wereld: “Aan de basis van het Italiaanse gezelschap Tritop (aanvankelijk noemden zij zich Wanderlust) staan drummer Ivo Di Traglia en toetsenist Roberto Sandirocco. In 2008 bundelden zij de krachten. Wat later voegden zanger-bassist lacopo Di Traglia en gitarist Yuri Massaro zich bij de groep. Dankzij tal van optredens ontstond al snel een fanbase. Tragische persoonlijke omstandigheden noopten de groep hun activiteiten op te schorten, waarna Di Traglia enkele jaren later met vier nieuwe bandleden de draad weer oppakte.
