Art Rock Show – Väistyy Mielen Yö (Week 06)

Viima is een vijfkoppige symfonische folk-prog groep uit Turku, Finland. De groep heeft drie albums uitgebracht, maar er zit 15 jaar tussen de huidige plaat en de vorige, Kahden Kuun Sirpit uit 2009.

Jacco Stijkel van Prog Wereld: “Mijn oud-collega Markwin Meeuws was behoorlijk positief over “Kahden Kuun Sirpit”. In zijn woorden: “een prettig, luistervriendelijk progplaatje, niet te opgefokt, maar uiterst genietbaar”. En dat zijn woorden die je ook op “Väistyy Mielen Yö” kunt plakken.  (…)

Het album “Väistyy Mielen Yö” (De Nacht van de Geest maakt plaats) begint met Tyttö Trapetsilla, Een lekker energiek nummer dat herinneringen aan Jethro Tull oproept.
