Art Rock Show – The All Is One (Week 40)

De muziek die de Noorse band Motorpsycho brengt is op z’n zachtst gezegd onvoorspelbaar op een goede manier. De groep bracht sinds hun debuutalbuum in 1991 al meer dan twintig albums uit. Albums die (meestal) in de smaak vielen bij zowel de critici en als bij de muziekliefhebbers. Jan-Willem Declercq van Dansende Beren: “Hun geluid bestrijkt een immens spectrum, maar doorgaans wordt Motorpsycho beschreven als progressieve rock. Andere genres die al snel aangehaald worden als het over Motorpsycho gaat, houden in: psychedelische rock, heavy metal, hardrock, jazz, folk en country. Achter dit brede muzikale spectrum zitten de Noren Bent Sæther (voornamelijk op basgitaar en stem), Hans Magnus Ryan (voornamelijk op gitaar en stem) en Tomas Järmyr (op drum). Bent en Hans zijn stichtende leden, terwijl Tomas zich slechts in 2017 bij de band vervoegde.… Read more...
