5th Art Rock Show: Voyager

Als opener deze week het nieuwe album Voyager van Cailyn Lloyd. Cailyn Lloyd is een gitarist, multi-instrumentalist en componist uit Fond du Lac, Wisconsin (VS). Haar muziek wordt gedraaid op klassieke en progressieve rock stations wereldwijd.

Fred Nieuwesteeg van Prog Wereld: “Met de cd “Voyager” voorziet ze de klassieke thema’s van Holst van een modern jasje en biedt daarnaast een aantal eigen composities gebaseerd op het Voyagerprogramma voldoende ruimte. Haar klassieke scholing kwam hierbij goed van pas. 4th Art Rock Show: Restriction

Archive (Restriction), The Pineapple Thief (Magnolia), Doracor (La Vita Che Cade), Rockets (Live on the Road), Flamborough Head (Defining The Legacy) and Ad Maiora (Ad Maiora!).

We starten deze week met het album Restriction van de Britse band Archive. Archive is een band uit Londen en speelt een mix van triphop en progressieve rock! De band treedt op in de AB in Brussel (25 februari).

James Appleyard van The Line of Best Fit: “In Restriction, Archive have created an album that does a fine job of representing their eclectic ethos, but this eclecticism also leads the album to occasionally touch on the edge of incoherence. 3rd Art Rock Show: Sanctuary

Derde show van 2015! Third show of 2015! Rob Reed (Sanctuary), IQ (Frequency), Dream Theater (Awake), The Watch (Tracks From The Alps), Asia Minor (Between Flesh And Divine), NthAscension (Frequencies of Day and Night) and Porcupine Tree (Lightbulb Sun).

We pakken deze week uit met Sanctuary, het nieuwe album van Rob Reed. Rob Reed is een getalenteerd multi-instrumentalist die heerlijke prog muziek maakt (Cyan, Magenta, Kompendium…). Andy Sniper van Music-News.com: “Two things really took me aback here: one was that he was capable of learning all the instruments and playing them to a surprisingly good standard and the second was that this actually works – brilliantly. (…) The music is complex but it has an almost folky vibe to it. 2nd Art Rock Show: L’Isolamento Dei Numeri Pari

Tweede show van 2015! Second show of 2015! Astrolabio (L’Isolamento Dei Numeri Pari), Comedy Of Errors (Fanfare And Fantasy), Life Line Project (The King), Fates Warning (Parallels), Cast (Originallis), Cosmos (Skygarden) and Santana (Abraxas).

We brengen het nieuwe album L’Isolamento Dei Numeri Pari van Astrolabio. De Italiaanse prog rockband ging aanvankelijk door het leven als Elettrosmog. Na een personeelswissel in 2009 veranderde de naam in Astrolabio. Na een demo in 2012, werd twee jaar later het album L’Isolamento Dei Numeri Pari uitgebracht.
